As so many on this forum have pointed out every time I post a picture, my front fascia is now messed up after an accident I had about 3-4 months after purchasing my Z. It was my fault, technically, but at first I was so angry about the whole situation that I was blinded from what I now believe to be the purpose of that accident. Like you said in your situation, that accident made me grow up significantly and it has changed my driving habits a lot. I figure, had I not had that minor accident, where no one got hurt (lucky for that), I might have gone on to do something really dumb a week, month, or year later on. I count it as a warning and learning experience...oh, also, I was 20 at the time of the accident. I've gone 1 year plus without another incident (knock on wood). I also thought of myself as mature, especially for my age. I am not discrediting you, I'm just saying that sometimes it's hard to judge anything about yourself without an outside perspective.
